Dr. Venance Shillingi (PhD) is a Lecturer, researcher and Management consultant at Mzumbe University, School of Public Administration and Management (SOPAM). He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Nairobi Kenya; MBA (corporate Management) and Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) both from Mzumbe University, Tanzania. He has published in Private Security Companies in Tanzania, conflict management, quality service delivery in health sector and implementation of strategic plans in public sector. His research tradition is pragmatism (mixed method design), and research interest is on security issues, conflict management, and strategic management. Dr. Shillingi has over 15 years of lecturing, research and consultancy. He has also trained broadly in areas of strategy, strategic negotiation, conflict management, governance & leadership, and other related general management courses. In term of research, he has supervised one PhD student as co-supervisor, 70+ master’s students (thesis), and 150+ undergraduate students (field research). Dr. Shillingi is married and a father of 4 kids.
